Principal Geologists

Fred Clark, P.G., R.E.A.

Mr. Clark has over 21 years of professional experience in the environmental field as a hydrogeologist, program and project manager, operations manager, remediation design geologist, and expert witness. He has been responsible for the management, coordination, scheduling, and budget control of hydrogeologic studies, remedial investigations, remediation feasibility engineering design, soil and groundwater remediation implementation, and construction activities. He is experienced in the areas of regulatory negotiations, legal and litigation support, geological interpretation, remediation feasibility evaluations, closure strategies, and RCRA and CERCLA . Mr. Clark has been directly responsible for numerous project closures using various methods of remediation for clients such as ARCO Products Company, Chevron USA Products Company, UNOCAL Corporation, Union Carbide, Safety-Kleen, Thrifty Oil, Cal Trans, and other clients.

Neal Farrar, P.G., R.E.A.

Mr. Farrar has over 20 years of professional experience as an environmental consultant. Since 1984, he has been employed as a Geologist, managing subsurface exploration for geologic and environmental studies. He has been involved in implementing geochemical and geophysical studies for oil and mineral companies. Mr. Farrar has been involved in all facets of environmental science, including field supervision, project management, Phase I environmental site assessments, remedial design, implementation of remedial actions, litigation support, and client liaison. Mr. Farrar has extensive experience in the states of Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas and Oklahoma and California. Mr. Farrar has extensive experience with CERCLA and RCRA projects under the oversight of the USEPA Region 7 and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR).

Karl D. Bowers, P.G.

Mr. Bowers is a Professional Geologist in the State of California with 16 years of experience in the environmental field. He has specialized in the assessment, remediation, and program management of petroleum hydrocarbon facilities throughout California, including gasoline service stations, tank farms and refineries. Mr. Bowers has managed all phases of assessment through remediation to closure, personally implemented pilot testing programs, and overseen engineering design, installation, and operations of numerous types of remedial applications. He currently manages several key projects involving MtBE delineation and remediation as part of water supply well and resevoir protection. Mr. Bowers has successfully negotiated closure on numerous petroleum sites throughout Southern California using various techniques, including detailed implementation of a CCR Title 23 Assessment of Impacts to identify contaminant transport mechanisms and potential risk to sensitive receptors.

Peter A. Fuller

Mr. Fuller has over 20 years of experience in environmental project management with both small and large companies. He is a licensed General Engineer Contractor in the State of California and has worked for major environmental service companies and as the environmental affairs manager for an international plastics machinery manufacturer. Mr. Fuller's work focused on aquifer and surface water restoration from impacts of petroleum hydrocarbons, VOCs, and metals. Mr. Fuller has extensive experience in program and project level management of environmental and regulatory compliance programs for major mining, industrial, and government clients including NCH Corporation, Kvaerner, Shell, ARCO, Texaco, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Neil Irish, P.G.

Mr. Neil Irish, Principal Geologist, is a Professional Geologist in the State of California with 19 years of experience in environmental project management and remediation. Mr. Irish has successfully completed projects at sites throughout California, and across the United States and internationally. Mr. Irish has a wide-ranging background, having supported both commercial, industrial, and Department of Defense customers. Mr. Irish has extensive experience conducting planned environmental restoration projects, as well as conducting numerous immediate response actions. Mr. Irish has worked on project types involving tank farms, refineries, fuel wharfs, terminals, pipelines, manufacturing facilities, metal plating operations, solvent disposal sites, oil fields, and retail service stations. Mr. Irish has negotiated no-action RBCA closure of impacted sites, including the first such closure of a DOD site in California. Mr. Irish has a strong technical background, having managed the installation and operation of numerous multi-media remediation systems at sites across the US. His past and present clients include the Defense Energy Support Center, Sunoco, Chevron, ARCO, Shell Oil, AFCEE, the US Navy, and Army Corp of Engineers.

Khaled Rahman, P.G., C.HG.

Mr. Rahman has over 17 years of experience in environmental project and program management. He is a Professional Geologist and Certified Hydrogeologist and holds both a B.A. and an MS degree in Geology. He has experience in all aspects of investigation, remediation, management, and closure of sites impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons, methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) and chlorinated solvents. His has coordinated numerous hydrogeologic investigations, soil and groundwater remediation projects and prepared monitoring reports for sites in the San Francisco Bay, Central Coast, Central Valley and Santa Ana regions of California, as well as Washington and North Carolina. He has conducted environmental activities in accordance with regulatory guidelines, including Orders issued by the RWQCB and DTSC; negotiated cleanup goals and case closure.

Kent R. Reynolds

Mr. Reynolds has over 25 years of experience in the environmental field involving contaminated industrial sites and waste disposal facilities. His work experience includes the design and construction of remediation systems, regulatory liaison and negotiation, and the management and implementation of remedial actions. His two decades of experience includes: Phase I and II environmental site assessments; remedial investigation/feasibility studies; identification and negotiation of appropriate cleanup criteria; development and implementation of remedial approaches; and regulatory compliance. Mr. Reynolds has extensive experience in identifying and providing clients with technically defensible and cost effective remediation alternatives with emphasis on limiting future liability and costs. His extensive experience with the various State of California Regional Water Quality Control Boards, Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), and various municipal agencies in Northern and Southern California results in negotiating least cost remedial and compliance programs.
