Facility Decommissioning & Closure

Decisions to close a facility (including units not subject to RCRA regulations when operating) can trigger several requirements under RCRA and possibly other state and federal regulations. The bottom line is, submitting and establishing a favorable Facility Closure Plan early in the closure process limits environmental cost exposure. Facility Closure Plans typically provide the design and details of the closure plan, which have been or will be performed in closing an operating facility.
