Groundwater Modeling - Chemical Fate & Transport
Groundwater modeling, when properly executed, is a valuable tool for the management of ground water resources and designing remedial action. By using sophisticated groundwater models, we are able to simulate various groundwater systems to predict, or in some cases recreate, the effects of advection, dispersion, dilution, and retardation of contaminants. We routinely conduct modeling studies for remedial program designs to support cost allocations in the case of multiple overlapping plumes, as well as to support risk analyses for the purpose of achieving risk based closure goals.
