The Source Group is currently supporting the consolidation and closure of the Palm Springs Municipal Landfill and redevelopment program. We are completing the remedial investigation/feasibility study, removal action work plan and the design of gas collection, abatement and monitoring systems.

The overall closure program will consist of removal and proper disposal of material primarily impacted with dioxins, PAHs, and lead. All remaining material will be consolidated into a smaller foot print within the landfill itself and properly capped.

Land freed up by consolidation of the landfill will be redeveloped with commercial buildings and a parking lot will then be constructed on top of the capped landfill. Gas collection, abatement, and monitoring systems will be installed within the landfill and underneath planned buildings and structure.
