Senate Bill 989 - A New Solution for Redevelopment of Contaminated Properties

Approved Sept. 27, 2006, SB 989 provides a safety net for developers if clean up costs for a contaminated site turn a project "upside down". SB 989 may help to: (1) provide indemnifications for developers (2) enable regulatory streamlining; and (3) infuse investor money to fund cleanup costs.
